What’s happening to the permanent market Over the past year we have seen a significant reduction in the number of permanent vacancies registered with us for Production staff(Site Engineers, Supervisors & Managers)and Quantity Surveyors compared to Front End staff(Estimators, Bid Managers & Business Development Managers). This reflects the general state of the Industry where a lack of new projects starting on site is having an impact on the demand for skilled professionals in this sphere. In contrast the demand for Front End staff capable of generating business or different solutions to technical problems has remained fairly constant as Companies look for different ways of creating a competitive advantage.
