#12DaysofSuccess – Day 9: Investing in the Future

We’re proud to say that we have a long history in positive community engagement. We were one of the first businesses in Scotland to be awarded a Community Mark in recognition of our work way back in 2007. 2018 has been something of a bumper year in our activities with our team dedicating more than 60 hours of their time across a range of events. One of the main areas of focus has been in our work with young people via schools, universities, professional bodies and industry charities. We have delivered a range of employability workshops and provided guidance to young people considering careers in construction & engineering. Highlights include;

Kelly delivered a series of employability workshops to schools with both Developing Young Workforce and Esh’s ムBuild my Skills Programme’.

Jamie & Amber worked with the ICE’s Graduates & Students Network to deliver their ムEngineer Your Career’ Workshop in Glasgow as well as Napier University’s ムEngineering Your Future’ career.

Karin, David, Eilidh and Alan all took part in a series of events in partnership with the Stirling University Symposium.

Additionally, we have continued to help people looking to return to the industry via our Constructing Futures programme. We are keen to expand the network of employers participating in the programme, so please do get in touch if you would like to help.
