Anne Gets The Chop For Charity!

Our Head of Finance, Anne Fotheringham, made the brave decision to lop off her locks in aid of the Little Princess Trust, which provides free wigs to children who have lost their hair due to cancer.ᅠ

Hannah was the original Little Princess.
Sadly she was diagnosed with having a Wilms tumour and after a brave battle, died in 2005.

Following the event Anne said:

“Having worked at Contract Scotland for almost 18 years now and during this time having participated in a variety of charity events, I decided to do something off my own back. As a parent, one thing that is always close to my heart are charities that involve children, and while visiting the hairdressers 9 months ago I heard about the Little Princess Trust. After hearing about the fantastic work they do and the difference it makes to the lives of the children involved, I decided to grow out my hair and donate it to the charity. In addition to this I also wanted to try and raise ᆪ350 to cover the cost of the wigs production. So far I’ve managed to raise just under ᆪ200. D-Day was the 14th of November and I was delighted to be able to donate 11 inches of hair.”

“Donations don’t always have to come in the form of money and in the end, it’s just hair! I’m lucky enough to be in the position that I can grow it back. After this experience, I think I’ll probably do it again………before it starts to turn grey!”

If you would be interested in donating in order to help Anne reach her ᆪ350 target, please call her on 01786 446651.
