Last week, Construction News reported that a recent Considerate Contractors Scheme report found that more than a third of constructionﾠworkers had witnessed colleagues under the influence of drugs or alcohol while working on site. They went on to report, following a freedom of information request to HSE, that there is no data recorded on the extent to which drugs and alcohol have been a contributory factor in injuries and dangerous occurrences, which seems wrong.
