Yesterday myself and my colleague Steven Murray left the house nice and early to make our way up to Invergarry for a site visit to see a new Client on a Hydro Scheme, clearly someone had asked for a good day as you don’t get many opportunities to see views like that in Scotland!
Really interesting project going on with one section of the works installing 10km of piping for the scheme. With the feed-in tariff changes looming over the renewables market later this year, it was very positive to speak with the Client who is forecasting a busy few years ahead in Scotland. A candidate I have placed at this job now gets to go to work every day with this view – don’t mind saying I am exceptionally jealous!
After meeting with aᅠprospective candidate and someone we recently placed in a permanent role within a Consulting Engineering firm, we headed off to the A9 dualling site to visit some of the workers on the project near Kincraig. Good to see work well underway and the site developing. It will certainly be interesting to hear who is awarded the next section of the job by Transport Scotland.
It has been a slower start to the year than we first expected however projects are in the pipeline and the forecast ahead is looking very positive in the Consultancy sector.
If you are interested in being involved in either Renewables or Consultancy Projects, please get in touch. Just don’t laugh too much at the photo!
