“The freelance engineering section is experiencing an encouraging boom at the minute, with levels of temporary workers returning to pre-recessionary levels we haven’t seen since 2008.
Due to the recession, there’s now a severe skills shortage in Scotland, and the current demand for site engineers for all sectors of construction is difficult to meet.
We have the largest network of freelance site engineers in the country – it’s one of our largest freelance divisions. We've kept nearly a 100 workers in continuous employment for years - indeed some have celebrated their 10th anniversary with us.
We offer part-time site engineer contracts which can work in conjunction with your own part-time work. Or some engineers may provide service over the course of several weekends. We also welcome applications from EU job seekers who have the appropriate transferable skills and knowledge of equipment to work in city centres or remote locations.
We expect current demand levels to continue until summer 2017. This is a high activity section and we'd appreciate the opportunity to guide any level of site engineering job seeker who may wish to embark on a rewarding freelance career path.”
