Would you like to work as part of a team who are heavily invested in doing all they can to contribute to carbon reduction? Our client a specialist subcontractor within the rail sector are looking to expand their team in Scotland by recruiting an Assistant Project Manager in Ayrshire. This is a varied role touching on technical, quality, programming and contractual aspects of project delivery, allowing you to become a dynamic, well rounded Assistant PM. Working closely with the project manager you will ensure all projects are efficiently and economically executed and all regulations are adhered to.

As the Assistant Project Manager covering multiple projects largely Scotland, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the company. Due to the responsibility of the role you will have proven experience working various Civil Engineering projects ideally within the rail sector.

As an Assistant Project Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Ordering site materials.
• Liaising with the clients.
• Work with budgets.
• Management of Site personnel.
• Commercial Management.
• Reports and record keeping.
• Ensure that all contractual agreements are adhered to.

Essential requirements:

• Educated to a degree or HNC level in a relevant civil engineering discipline.
• Proven experience of managing various Civil Engineering projects primarily within the rail and infrastructure sectors.
• Possess an extensive level of technical knowledge, understanding, control and responsibility for all civils site activities.
• Be a pro-active communicator
• Full UK driver’s license.

Please note, due to project locations and the nature of the role, you should be flexible and willing to travel throughout Scotland when required.
