Our client is a Civil/Structural Engineering Consultancy who are looking for an Associate Director to join their structures team in the Glasgow office.
They are looking for an experienced, Chartered
and SER certified Engineer
who will not only be involved in hands on design, but also be an integral member of the team managing junior members of staff and their workload. You will also be involved in project management, delivery as well as dealing directly with architects, contractors and clients. This position reports into a Director. Workload
comprises of both private and public sector work, including residential, commercial, schools etc. This company benefits from a lot of repeat business due to their reputation within the market. Why has this position come about?
The creation of this role forms part of the company's succession planning, therefore progression into a Director role and part ownership of the company will be on offer to the right candidate should you want it. What about business development I can hear you asking?
The current Directors are heavily involved in business development (because they love it!) and are happy to keep doing so if you feel like this part of the job is definitely not for you - that's okay. However, if you have an aptitude and a desire to do this then that is great too. What about the office environment and staff culture?
Firstly, the offices are clean, fresh and modern. There is also free on site parking and the offices are easily accessible from the motorway. Staff culture is also very important to the company, the staff readily get together once a month for food / drinks after work, comedy evenings etc. What do you need to apply?
• Degree qualified in Structural Engineering ( or equivalent )
• Chartered Status
• SER registered
• Currently operating at Associate Director level or looking to take the step up into this position
