Chartered Structural Engineer (Building Structures)
We are working closely with a market leading national engineering consultancy as they look for an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join their Edinburgh based team. Within this role you will be exposed to a dynamic range of projects including but not limited to commercial, residential, industrial and public buildings.
You will be expected to prepare and/or review structural designs, determine technical specifications, plans, estimates and reports for projects. Client interaction is also a part of this job as you will make recommendations and present reports to clients, along with liaising with project staff including Architects, Technicians and Contractors. You will carry out structural analysis of projects using AutoCAD, Tekkla & TEDDS. The ideal candidate will be:
- Degree qualified in Civil / Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experienced within building structures
- Chartered or near Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE)
- A strong communicator due to client interaction within this position
- Excellent interpersonal and report writing skills
