We are looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join our client, a multi-award winning civil and structural engineering consultancy firm, as part of their Edinburgh team. 

You have:
– Between 3 and 5 years experience in Civil Design Engineering roles.
– A professional investment in working towards chartership.
– Extensive experience in MicroDrainage / Info Drainage.
– Experience working on projects with SEPA & Scottish Water.
– Knowledge of the development of drainage strategy schemes.
– Experience reviewing earthworks and levels propositions (existent or new).
– A desire to be a mentor to developing team members
– A collaborative and amiable communication and working approach.
– A proactive mindset and a desire to progress and grow in your career.

You will:
– Be working with and supporting Engineers and Technical team members.
– Take responsibility for the daily management of projects.
– Find and build solutions to design complexities. 
– Collaborate with the design team en masse. 
– Manage the handling of all documentation and drawings with respect to the QMS. 
– Attend meetings at a client, site, and team level. 
– Oversee the outputs of drafters and technicians alike.
