We are working with a market leader who focusses on building and regenerating communities. They produce private and affordable housing, commercial regeneration and are involved in some of the largest projects being undertaken in the East of Scotland.
This role will focus on the New Build projects and will require a dedicated and experienced Design Manager who has experience working for a new build developer, housebuilder or contractor.
On a day to day basis, you will be required to oversee the overall design process, liaising with external consultants, dealing with pre-construction phase and handover to site based teams. More specifically, we will require you to use previous experience to:
• Provide pre and post tender technical support to key Project Members
• Manage project members including Planners, Building Control, Clients, Site Managers, Subcontractors and Suppliers
• Attend site and progress meetings
• Provide technical recommendations on potential buildability issues
• Produce detailed specification information/literature/component schedules etc for tendering, procurement and construction
Furthermore, you will be required to have an Architectural/Design Qualification to HNC/HND (or equivalent), experience of SAP and EPC's and commercially aware.
In return, you will receive up to £50,000, a company car and additional privileges DOE.
