Our client in Bellshill are looking for an experienced Document Controller for a minimum of 6 months with potential of being extended.
The role
Coordinating all activities relating to the document control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence Inputting document data into standard registers ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date Making sure that controlled copies of latest approved documents and drawings are given to the appropriate staff, subcontractors and suppliers as applicable Maintaining the documents and drawings in the document control office under safe custody without any damage or deterioration with easy traceability.
Excellent report writing and Microsoft Office skills are required, as is a knowledge of document control systems. You will be a team player, able to work to deadlines under pressure.
  • Set up and manage the project document control system
  • Manage all flows of documents either in electronic form or on paper support
  • Update and maintain the drawing register
  • Distribute file and record all drawing revisions
  • Set up and print drawings for each part of the project as it develops
  • Set-up projects folders and facilitate project communication process
  • Manage the request for information documents
  • Distribute, file and record all drawing versions
  • General administration
