This project offers a duration of 18 months and is looking for a candidate able to start ideally in the next 4-6 weeks. You’ll be working as an Inspector of Works or Senior Engineer depending on your experience on this high profile scheme.
Electrical Design Engineer
Contract Scotland are looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer for a specialist civil engineering contractor with a demonstrable background in delivering projects within the water industry as well as other niche sectors including mechanical & electrical projects as well as branching into the renewables market. Based in the west of Scotland, they have secured several packages of work from Scottish Water’s strategic delivery framework as well as other projects offering a diverse portfolio for you to work on.
They are looking for a design engineer to join their existing team and bolster their capability. You’ll be working with designers, technicians and the delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered as required by end clients. You’ll be a focal point in delivering technical assistance to the operations teams as well as being a point of contact for end client queries.
To be considered for the role, you should:
• Be able to demonstrate experience as an electrical designer, ideally with some experience in the water sector however other areas of experience will also be considered
• Hold suitable qualifications at an HNC level or above
• Be used to working at pace within a specialist engineering environment
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a minimum, with a preference from WIMES experience advantageous
