Electrical Design Engineer – Senior / Principal
A major global engineering firm with expertise in the design and delivery projects in the water sector is looking to expand its design team in Scotland by recruiting an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. Recognising the value derived from employing skilled staff with a diverse range of perspectives, they are interested in considering experienced Technicians from a range of sectors out with water, in particular, heavy industrial and process engineering backgrounds. They are also keen to consider ex-armed forces personnel with relevant skills and expertise.
You will play an important part in the delivery of a large, long-term framework. Working in conjunction with other discipline teams, you will prepare, develop and check electrical designs to suit contract requirements. You will enjoy a supportive and collaborative working environment set up to ensure a focus on creativity and innovation with the ultimate aim of delivering quality, cutting edge engineering solutions to their clients.

To apply you will need to demonstrate;
• Degree level qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Several years’ experience in EICA design in the water or relevant process industries
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical distribution systems including 11kV.
• Appreciation of automated control systems based on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and Telemetry.
