Electrical Project Engineer

Are you motivated by leading the electrical project engineering function on a variety of commercial build projects?

If you are from an Electrical Project Engineering background within the Building Services Contracting sector and have an interest and passion in being responsible for the day to day project and commercial management over medium sized M&E Building Services projects, then this is a rare opportunity to become a part of one of Scotland's most well established M&E Building Services contractors based from their fast growing regional business unit in Edinburgh.

As one of the fastest developing M&E Building Services Contractors in Scotland, this regional business operation is currently implementing an extensive long-term growth strategy in conjunction with winning multiple projects across Edinburgh and the East of Scotland. Joining an existing projects team, you'll be responsible for the full electrical project management for significant M&E Building Services projects up to the value of £6mil, particularly within the healthcare, commercial, industrial and education industries in East and Central Scotland.

The successful applicant will combine their technical expertise and commercial acumen to lead the Electrical Engineering function on major and key projects for the organisation. Finding cost effective solutions to any issues on projects and an ability to still not compromise on quality whilst fully managing a large labour force and various specialist sub-contractors is a major facet of this role. On top of this, you will gain exposure to the pre-commencement aspect of projects by getting involved in the sub-contractor procurement and project planning functions.

Ultimately, the key to this role is the ability to liaise and work with key stakeholders at all levels in order to ensure repeat business and develop existing relationships with major Main Contractors due to the service delivery focus of this organisation.

Perhaps you're currently working for an M&E Building Services contractor in either an Electrical Project Engineering or Project Management capacity and you are looking for a new challenge by leading the project engineering function within a forward thinking Building Services Contractor.

At this stage, you'll need to be able to demonstrate extensive Electrical Project Engineering experience in an M&E Building Services organisation. You should have a wide and well developed commercial awareness' as well as a track record on delivering on multiple projects. The opportunity for career progression is also on offer with the potential to become a lead project manager within the organisation available in the future.

As well as a competitive salary between £38k to £45k, you can expect a benefits package which include a car allowance, fuel card and matched pension scheme.
