Contract Scotland are pleased to bring to the market an opportunity for an experienced Estimator to take on a package of works for our client, a prominent civil engineering contractor in the water industry, in order for them to proceed with current workload and new tender wins. This contract will offer an immediate start and expected to work long term with the opportunity to work on projects across the central belt of Scotland.

You’ll be working closely with Commercial, Management and Estimating teams on a variety of projects primarily within the water sector and you’ll provide updates on the status of these projects. You will deliver estimates from first principles and assess the needs of the clients and also any risk to the business. Part of this will also see you be involved in the close out of some of the works and ensuring that all relevant documentation is in place.

Given the nature of these works it is essential you have experience within a civil engineering environment, experience within the water sector would be an added advantage. You’ll be working primarily within the clients offices however site visits will be required and the contractor are very much open to a hybrid model, so working from home could be an option as well, depending on your needs.

What’s required?
• Confident registering, controlling and administering tender documentation.
• Be able to interact with all level of stakeholders to communicate effectively.
• Take offs from drawings to quote for electrical works.
• Must be able to use Candy Software, ideally have used this in your most recent role.
• Hard-working attitude to come in the door and hit the ground running.
