A reputable regional building contractor is currently seeking an Estimator to join their team as part of their succession planning within their estimating dept. Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This will involve analysing plans, assessing cost-effectiveness, and liaising with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure that cost estimates are robust and competitive.

Key Responsibilities:

– Analyse project drawings and specifications to prepare a comprehensive cost analysis
– Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team to gather pricing and bids
– Assess risk and factor in potential unforeseen costs into the budget
– Prepare and present detailed reports on the costings of projects
– Work closely with the project management team to ensure estimates align with project timelines and specifications

Skills & Experience Required:

– Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry
– A strong understanding of construction processes and materials
– Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
– Proficiency in estimation software
