A successful groundworks contractor in the west of Scotland are looking to further strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Civils QS/Estimator. Working predominately within the residential market, they also occasionally act as main contractor on civil engineering projects, giving their work portfolio more diversity than many of their competitors.

The role will allow you take control of all commercial aspects for projects throughout their lifecycle from initial tender inquiry through to final accounts. Specific responsibilities will include;

• Developing cost estimates from first principals for civil groundworks packages
• Carrying out site measurements and valuations
• Pricing contract variations and filing for payment
• Producing monthly CVRs

This company has a busy order book moving in to 2020. This will be a key appointment within the commercial team enabling them to continue the successful and profitable delivery of these works. It is essential that applicants can demonstrate experience in working within the commercial team in a QS or estimating role within a successful civil engineering business. Specific experience in civil groundworks would be highly advantageous.
