Contract Scotland has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our client, an established and professional business based in East Kilbride. This is a full time, permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and the chance to work with a company who support and invest in their employees.

Working as part of the busy Finance Team and reporting into the Group Financial Controller, your duties will include:
• Purchase ledger and sales ledger processing
• Providing financial support and governance.
• Ensuring all internal and external costs are up-to-date and managed in line with our processes.
• Supporting the management of month end activities and trading deliverables.
• Supporting with the processing of site related PO’s and Invoices.
• Supporting solutions to minimize financial risk and improving efficiency, profitability and cash flow.
• Ensuring that accounting standards & other relevant policies are implemented within own business area.
• Supporting the development of financial expertise in the business creating financial best practice.
• Supporting Finance team.
• Fleet management.
• Supporting the Group Financial Controller with HMRC monthly returns and other adhoc duties as required.

You will have a positive, proactive attitude with good attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks accurately and within agreed timescales. You will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and in particular Excel. Experience of working in the Construction industry and a knowledge of the CIS Scheme would be an advantage.
