In particular, the question of how we safely and efficiently manage the re-development of contaminated land is a key obstacle facing engineers on a daily basis. We are currently working closely with a civil engineering contractor operating at the forefront of this challenge as they seek to recruit an experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer to assist in providing innovative solutions to their clients.
The company is looking for someone who can take ownership of all aspects of geotechnical engineering, helping deliver innovative, cost effective solutions to their clients. This will be a critical role within the business helping them tackle what is becoming a growing challenge. For the individual with the skillset and dedication to succeed, there exists an opportunity for the role to develop and grow with the business over time.
Duties will include:
• Participate in client meetings and assist in developing tenders
• Work with the technical team to deliver holistic design strategies for the client
• Look where possible to deliver value engineering possibilities through design, planning and delivery phases
• Close liaison with regulatory bodies and other applicable third parties
• Ensure compliance with all statutory geo-environmental responsibilities
• Support site teams throughout construction phase ensuring all geo-environmental specifications are met whilst providing innovative solutions to on-site engineering issues as they arise.
The position comes with an attractive salary, company car, fuel card and pension as well as a discretionary bonus twice a year, ensuring that your contribution is rewarded fairly.
