Our client is a family-owned housebuilder who specialise on building quality family homes in the west central belt of Scotland. They are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to join their team on a part-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based in Glasgow and will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and systems

– Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to minimize risks

– Working with the design & technical team on pre-construction stage developments

– Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation

– Provide health and safety advice and guidance to employees and managers

– Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions

– Deliver health and safety training to employees and managers

– Liaise with external health and safety bodies and regulatory authorities

– Ensure that all health and safety records are maintained and up-to-date


– Relevant health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH

– Experience in housing health and safety

– Experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and systems

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
