An expanding housebuilder is looking for a Land Manager/Land Buyer to join their existing team to oversee and actively pursue land and development opportunities within the East of Scotland.

This builder is one of the top 10 builders in the UK, so you'd be joining a business with a recognised brand and a growing reputation. They're passionate about creating developments which can help meet the country's huge demand for high quality new build homes and their strategy is to look to create homes for both sale and affordable rent.

This is an exciting opportunity for people from various backgrounds, such as town planning, valuation surveying and land management, to break into the realm of private housing and to bring a fresh outlook to a well-established team. Alternatively, you might have an existing track record in purchasing land for residential development but feel that now is the time to consider a change, particularly with a business who genuinely aim to approach things in a different way to the average housebuilder.

Within the role you will be reporting to the Land Director, proactively identifying and securing target sites in line with the company's regional business plan, working through the process from beginning to end. You'll need to make use of excellent communication and negotiation skills to build relationships and secure sites.

You'll not necessarily be pursuing the average' land deal, as this builder often seek out more challenging regeneration opportunities, such as brownfield sites, or those with existing buildings in situ.

In return for the perfect candidate, the business is willing to offer a salary which should more than match those in the market and provide a notable commission scheme to reward deals.

If you are interested in joining a growing housebuilder at a time of expansion and feel you fit the above profile, please contact me on 01786 446651.
