Mechanical Project Manager
Do you want to further your career within an organisation which has a proven track record in personal and career development as well as offering a continuity of work throughout the Scottish market?
If you are from an Mechanical Project Management background within the Building Services sector and have an interest in being responsible for the day to day project management over multiple M&E installation projects, then this is a rare opportunity to become a part of one of Scotland's leading M&E Building Services providers based from their head offices in the Edinburgh area, who have one of the strongest reputations in the industry.
This is an opportunity to join an extensive business operation which is currently experiencing a period of growth due to winning multiple projects in the East and Central Scotland and are currently implementing a realistic and steady growth plan. Joining an existing diverse and passionate projects team, you'll be responsible for the full Mechanical project management for various M&E Building Services projects up to the value of £3mil particularly across various framework clients within the banking and insurance sectors.
For this position, the successful individual will bring their technical expertise and commercial acumen to lead the Mechanical engineering function on various commercial projects for the organisation working for various public sector, main contracting and end-user clients. Finding cost effective solutions to any issues on projects and an ability to still not compromise on quality whilst fully managing a large labour force is a major facet of this role. What is fairly unique to this business is the volume of labour management which is involved in the role as the business tends to deliver many of the specialist engineering packages on projects rather than sub-contracting out to specialists. Ultimately, the key to this role is the ability to liaise and work with key stakeholders at all levels in order to ensure repeat business and develop existing relationships with a range of clients, as well as driving forward a motivated site workforce and working closely with the Project QS to ensure the commercial success of projects.
Perhaps you're currently working for an M&E Building Services contractor in either an Mechanical Project Engineer or Mechanical Project Manager role and you are looking for a new challenge by leading the project management on traditional M&E Building Services projects.
At this stage, you'll need to be able to demonstrate a recent track record in electrical project engineering and management experience in an M&E Building Services organisation. You should have a wide and well developed commercial awareness as well as a track record on delivering on both new build and refurbishment commercial projects.
As well as an annual salary between £40k-£50k per annum you can expect a benefits package which include a car allowance/company car, private healthcare, matched pension scheme and an annual bonus.
