Mechanical Project Manager
Do you want to work on the largest Building Services projects in Scotland with a contractor that has a strong pipeline of projects starting in 2019 and beyond across some of the most interesting and prestigious works in the country.
If you are from an Mechanical Project Management background within the Building Services sector and have an interest in being responsible for the day to day project management over commercial building services projects up to the value of £25mil then this is a rare opportunity to become a part of one of Scotland's leading M&E Building Services providers based on projects in Glasgow and across the Central Belt of Scotland.
This is an opportunity to join an extensive business operation which is quickly growing due to continued project awards across a variety of Tier 1 Main contracting clients across the West and Central Belt of Scotland. Joining an existing diverse and passionate projects team, you'll be responsible for the full Mechanical project management for significant M&E Building Services projects initially being responsible for a large, multi-story office development in the heart of Glasgow. On top of the opportunity to lead the mechanical installation on a large project you will join a modern, forward-thinking business which still has a family orientated culture and work ethos which makes them one of the best employers in the sector.
For this position, the successful individual will bring their technical expertise and operational leadership to lead the Mechanical engineering function on large scale projects working closely with some of the major Tier 1 Building Contractors in Scotland. Finding cost effective solutions to any issues on projects and an ability to still not compromise on quality whilst fully managing a large labour force and a wide variety of specialist sub-contractors is a major facet of this role. Ultimately, the key to this role is the ability to liaise and work with key stakeholders at all levels in order to ensure repeat business and develop existing relationships with a range of clients, as well as driving forward a motivated site workforce and working closely with the Project QS to ensure the commercial success of projects.
Perhaps you're currently working for an M&E Building Services contractor in either an Mechanical Project Engineer or Mechanical Project Manager role and you are looking for a new challenge by leading the project management on traditional M&E Building Services projects with a business which can offer various routes for career progression as well as long term continuity of work in the future.
At this stage, you'll need to be able to demonstrate a recent track record in mechanical project engineering and management experience in an M&E Building Services organisation. You should have a wide and well developed commercial awareness as well as a track record on delivering on both new build commercial projects.
As well as a competitive salary between £45k-£55k per annum , you can expect a benefits package which include a car allowance, private healthcare and matched pension scheme of up to 10%.
