We are working with our client, based in the Barrhead area to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join their busy team and take ownership of the payroll function for the business. This is a permanent job, due to contract wins and an increase in workload and offers a competitive salary and great benefits package.

Working as part of the Finance team and reporting into the Head of Finance, this is a varied job where your duties will include:

• Processing monthly payroll for 150 employees and a weekly payroll for 100 employees
• Dealing with the end to end payroll process including; pensions, arrestment of earnings, tax, child support payments etc.
• Processing all employee expenses
• Dealing with any queries relating to payroll
• Assisting the finance team with cashbooks, bank recs etc.

You must have experience of dealing with end to end payroll and be confident in your knowledge and skills so that you are equipped to deal with all queries and discrepancies. Some experience from a general accounts role would be preferred as would a working knowledge of COINS software, however full training can be provided. You will be a team player, with good communication skills and ability to prioritise your workload to ensure you complete tasks accurately and efficiently and within set timescales. A good knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, specifically Excel. Experience of processing CIS payment would be an advantage but is not essential.
