Contract Scotland are delighted to be working with one of the UK's leading suppliers to the nuclear industry. Due to a new project award our client are offering a great opportunity for a Procurement and Supply Chain Manager
to come on board.
Our client are well-known for their work ethic and ability to deliver projects to a high standard - they need someone with drive and initiative to be fully committed to continuing to work to this standard. You will be part of a growing team and have the chance to work on a large decommissioning framework that could span 8 years

·A self-starter with drive and initiative
·Qualified to degree level or equivalent, with membership of CIPS or equivalent or significant and demonstrable practical experience.
·Ability to work and lead cross functional teams and experience of stakeholder management as well as influencing skills will be essential.
·Ability to construct and deliver a robust procurement project plan that delivers the objectives of the project, ensuring the deadline and budget are met and that the necessary communications and risk mitigations are in place.
·A team leader, with a proven ability to build team morale and can proactively recognise where teams need assistance
·A good understanding of cost models/business models particularly in relation to the NEC models, familiarity with accounting practices, commercial audits, forecasting and valuations and supplier costing models.Key Responsibilities
·Leading the development and execution of procurement strategies
·Developing relationships with key stakeholders ensuring alignment of objectives and mutual setting of goals.
·Accountable for the development of a robust supply chain that supports the delivery of project objectives.
·Enhance and utilise sourcing and tendering processes that meet and exceed project / programme deliverables. .
·Managing the tender process and the evaluation of all major /bespoke equipment /service providers ensuring they are fairly, robustly and adequately evaluated both commercially and technically and any evaluation is documented and will stand up to scrutiny by third parties.
·Ensuring that all major work packages are procured on suitable terms and conditions, with quantified risk
·Management of post contract commercial management of subcontracts
·Assisting with Change Management, including Compensation events / Early Warning
