Project Engineer role with residential developer
Are you a Civil Engineer from a Consultancy background or currently working with a Residential Developer?
Do you enjoy Design however have a desire to expand your experience into a more Project Management position where you are involved in ion house design as well as managing external consultants?
Perhaps the thought of working on the largest development of it's kind outside of London, is something that appeals to you?
We are working in close partnership with one of the industries newer entrants to the Scottish Market, for a role that will oversee a colossal 800 unit development in Glasgow that will span over the next 10 years, which will include private housing, affordable housing and commercial elements.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role will provide support to their in-house engineering team as well as managing external consultants.
As Project Engineer you will be responsible for the following…
• Deliver engineering solutions that enable the business to acquire land effectively.
• Be involved in the public consultation process to influence communities and professionals involved.
• Attend all relevant meetings as required e.g. Pre Tender, Pre Start, Sales Handover and Site Completion.
• Manage your team to ensure optimal delivery of Development Monitor targets.
• Assisting in the coordination of all engineering information between external consultants and internal departments.
• Mentor junior staff including Graduates.
To apply for this role you should be qualified to HNC/HND or Degree level (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering. Ideally you should have an engineering background with experience of working for a consultancy or housebuilder who focus on residential projects or similar. You should be driven, IT literate and motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines as required. A full drivers licence is required.
