Project Manager

We are working in partnership with one of Scotland's reputable main contractors who are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a new project in Glasgow. If you have a proven track record of working on major developments as a Project Manager, specifically with steel frame developments we would like to hear from you.

The company we are working with are a long established Social Housing contractor who focus on new build housing within the West. More of a traditional contractor, they pride themselves in low staff turnover and quality of product. Due to project growth, they are looking to take on an experienced Project Manager to run one of their major developments.

To be considered for this role you must have experience working on large scale developments, have proven experience at this level of role and have extensive understanding of working with steel framed developments and concrete works. Due to the nature of the build, ideally you will have Tier 1 main contracting experience however all relevant experience will be considered.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for;
• Regular liaison with clients and design team
• Site staff management
• Developing and monitoring the main programme of works and drive weekly progress
• Develop method statements and risk assessments in conjunction with the safety plan
• Sourcing labour and maintaining high productivity and quality workmanship
• Day to day operational planning and problem solving
• Attending meetings as required with clients, design team and subcontractors
• Preparing reports
• Managing Health & Safety process and ensuring these are adhered to across the site

It is desired you have a relevant construction qualification at HND, Degree level or equivalent and essential your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications are up to date alongside a full UK driving licence.

When successful, you will receive a basic salary up tp £60,000, Private Health Care and a Discretionary Performance Bonus all of which is depending on experience.
