Our client, one of Scotland’s best known housebuilders have a requirement for a senior quantity surveyor to join their team, covering sites within the Aberdeen/Tayside region. This is a fixed term contract of 9 months and can be offered on a temporary or fixed terms basis, depending on your preference.

Managing approximately 2 large housing projects throughout the duration of this contract, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record working on housing projects.

Key Requirements of the Role

  • Maintain budget control throughout developments
  • Manage procurement of trade packages and oversee sub-contract ordering
  • Production of monthly CVR Reports for each site
  • Preparing tenders and procure sub-contractors
  • Evaluating and agreeing variations and instructions
  • Liaising with site personnel and sub-contractors in order to maximise productivity
  • Using a payments system for the payment of sub-contractors and goods and materials

Regular coordination and reporting to Commercial Director / Commercial Manager with all commercial aspects of the business

Our client offer flexibility on this role and are currently working to a 2 day/week office based and 3 day/week home based working model
