A well respected main contractor with a rich heritage in Scotland’s construction industry is looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their established commercial team in Edinburgh. Our client has worked on some of Britain’s most iconic buildings and will provide the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting developments.

You will support projects in the West of Scotland, managing and steering costs, building and maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring project success and satisfaction. To be considered for this role, you will be professional, organised and driven, and have a desire to learn and develop.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
– Advising and liaising with operational management on contract and commercial matters.
– Carry out valuations and ensure payments are issued on time.
– Reporting on monthly costs, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing cost forecasts.
– Ensuring quotations are evaluated carefully and comply with project specifications.
– Successfully managing sub-contractor accounts.

You will:
– Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or alternative relevant disciple.
– Have demonstrable commercial experience in the construction industry.
