Contract Scotland are working in partnership with a fit-out company that are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor, in their Edinburgh or Glasgow office.
This company is a well-established fit out contractor who work across the central belt. If you are an ambitious Quantity Survey looking who is looking to work for a forward-thinking company, then this could be a great opportunity for you.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be expected to control company expenditure, measure progress, submit valuations, submit final accounts & retention, release & monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner in accordance with the company contracts. You will also be involved in commercial management, credit control management, the recovery of money from the organisation’s clients, the control of all expenditure, to reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts, the preparation of invoices & applications to clients and the organisations procurement/surveying processes. You will also report to senior management.
The successful candidate will have:
• A proven track record of working on fit-out and refurbishment projects
• Problem solver who takes ownership of tasks and sees them through
• Work Independently or as part of a team
• Ability to recognise and understand cost sensitive areas
• Capability to undertake risk analysis
• Ability to manage the preparation of Target Costs
• Can work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written & communication skills
• Good commercial awareness
