A regional Scottish building contractor based in Glasgow is looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their team as part of a longer-term succession plan. With a strong capability in refurbishment and fit-out services across the public & private sectors they are currently enjoying their most successful year to date.

The position would be well suited to Quantity Surveyors with a desire to lead projects independently, making it the ideal career advancement opportunity for assistant or intermediate-level Quantity Surveyors.

The role will be part office based with regular site visits with the central belt. You will be responsible for the full suite of Quantity Surveying responsibilities managing your own portfolio of projects ranging between £200k to £2m.

To apply you should be a degree/MSc qualified Quantity Surveyor with experience working with a building contractor. A sound knowledge of modern forms of contract such as JCT is also a requirement.

More importantly, you should be comfortable working independently, running projects and be skilled in managing relationships with colleagues, clients and the supply chain to ensure best value is achieved through each stage of the project lifecycle.
