Would you like to work as part of a team who are heavily invested in doing all they can to contribute to carbon reduction?  Our client a major global engineering firm with expertise in the design and delivery projects in the water sector are looking to expand their commercial team in Scotland by adding Quantity Surveyors.  They are keen to speak to Quantity Surveyors from all levels ideally with a background in the water industry.

Working on the Scottish water framework our client have positions available in various locations over Scotland.  As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work with the commercial team and will be responsible for commercially managing multiple projects from tender through to final account, providing commercial assistance to operational teams and others when required

As a Quantity Surveyor, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Overseeing projects from tender through to final account.
  • Producing accurate forecasts of project costs.
  • Managing daily commercials on projects
  • Dealing with procurement
  • Preparing & issuing subcontractor documentation
  • Assessment of compensation events
  • Issuing early warning notices
  • Providing commercial assistance to operational teams & others when required.
  • Interacting with internal & external decision makers.

Background/ Experienced required:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or relevant discipline)
  • Experience in interacting and dealing with fast paced, high volume projects
  • Demonstrable experience working under NEC contracts
  • Water project experience would be a strong advantage
  • Good interpersonal & negotiation skills, as well as the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
