Our client are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost management on private housing project in Glasgow.  This contract will require services 2-3 days/week 

Responsibilities:

– Manage all aspects of cost management on private housing projects

– Prepare and manage tender documents, contracts, budgets, and bills of quantities

– Monitor project costs and budgets, prepare cost reports and forecasts

– Value engineering and cost control measures

– Manage subcontractor payments, variations and final accounts

– Attend site meetings and liaise with project teams, contractors and clients

– Ensure compliance with contract specifications and procurement regulations

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field

– Minimum of 5 years’ experience in private housing Quantity Surveying

– Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes

– Experience in value engineering and cost control measures

– Strong analytical and numerical skills

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Quantity Surveying software
