A quantity surveying role with an established housebuilder in Fife, focussing in the siteworks aspects of development in central Scotland
A freelance opportunity in Glasgow to work with a busy private & social housing contractor.
Our client is seeking a temporary Quantity Surveyor with experience in both private housing and affordable housing to join their team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, procurement and contract administration on existing housing projects.
-Preparation of cost estimates and bills of quantities
-Preparation and analysis of tenders
-Valuation of works and preparation of payment certificates
-Preparation of cost reports and forecasts
-Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations and legislation
-Liaison with clients, contractors and other stakeholders
-Management of subcontractors and suppliers
-Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
-Minimum of 3 years’ experience in private housing and affordable housing projects
-Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
-Experience in cost estimating, tender analysis and contract administration
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Excellent attention to detail
-Proficient in Microsoft Office and cost management software
