Exciting Opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor in Glasgow!

We’re thrilled to partner with our esteemed client, a distinguished civil engineering contractor specialising in infrastructure and groundworks projects across Scotland.

About the Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor based in Glasgow, you’ll collaborate closely with project leaders to uphold service excellence, provide crucial advice on contract conditions and commercial matters, and maintain meticulous financial control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct monthly Cost Value Reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely certification and payment of valuations.
  • Efficiently manage contract variations.
  • Provide accurate cost and value forecasts for all trades.
  • Facilitate procurement of labor, materials, and Sub-Contractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Monitor on-site progress and issue necessary notices in adherence to contract procedures.
  • Vet and secure competitive bids in compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive Final Accounts.
  • Effectively manage subcontractor accounts to optimize contract performance.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in Quantity Surveying within Civil Engineering Projects.
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts preferred; ability to handle complex contract forms.
  • Previous involvement in Scottish Water Framework projects desirable.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving license.
