Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with the desire to continue to progressing your career?

Perhaps you're working for a business where it's hard to have any influence on decision making or there is little opportunity to bring new ideas to the table?

Our client is a forward-thinking builder of high-specification homes, with a positive culture and over 50 years' history in Scotland.

With further growth plans and a need to bring the right people into their team, they're searching for a Quantity Surveyor who can be part of the wider progress and work closely with the Commercial Manager .

The key responsibilities for this role will be the ability to liaise effectively with the team/senior management and contract staff on a regular basis to deliver budgets, preparing commercial forecasts, reporting/maintain accurate financial records, monitoring progress on site, attending regular meetings where needed on aspects such as estimating, securing labour, materials and sub-contractors to ensure that contracts are completed on time and within budget.

Here are some of the essentials:
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Extensive Quantity Surveying experience within a relevant sector in the construction and property industry, likely within a housebuilder

And some desirables:
• A member of RICS
• IT literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Budget Compilation & Management
• Analytical & problem-solving skills
• Ability to chair meetings
• Sales and negotiating skills
• Objective setting
• Methodical approach to tasks undertaken
