An Aberdeen based civil engineering contractor is looking to bolster their commercial team by recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor. Working as both main and subcontractor with a range of clients in both the public and private sector, this contractor prides itself on earning repeat work from loyal clients across the Grampian area based on the quality and reliability of their service.
The role will be office based, visiting sites for part of the week which occasionally require travel out with the Aberdeen/Grampian area if required. However, part of the role can be carried out from home should that be desirable for any prospective applicants.
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for multiple contracts typically within the £100k - £1m range but may also occasionally focus on single contracts up to £5m in value. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Site measurements
- Preparation and agreement of valuations
- Cost/value reconciliation reporting for the contracts
- Assisting in the quick resolution of disputes/claims
Applications will be welcome from experienced Quantity Surveyor who can display the following:
- Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Experience in civil engineering projects valuing up to £5m
- Ideally have a working knowledge of NEC 3 Contracts
- A UK Driving license
