Quantity Surveyor

An Ayrshire based civil contracting business is looking for a new Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. The role has come about as part of their long-term succession planning and offers room for future growth and progression.

Covering building, groundworks and transportation, the company can offer the chance to manage a varied portfolio of contracts valuing up to £1m. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the overall commercial delivery of these contracts from tender stage through to completion.

Specific responsibilities will include carrying out take offs, measurements, payment applications and dispute resolution. The role will be partly office based but will also require site visits.

The successful applicant should be:

• Minimum of HNC level qualified in Quantity Surveying
• Experienced working in a contracting environment
• Able to show a flexible attitude and be prepared to support the needs of the business as they develop over time
