We have an exciting opportunity for a hard working Quantity Surveyor to join a fast paced stand alone contractor who has plenty on their books to allow job security and longevity. This company focuses on refurbishment and energy efficiency within social and affordable housing and due to demand, are looking to expand their commercial team within Glasgow.
To be successful, you will have a proven track record of working at a Quantity Surveyor level within main contracting and will have experience of social housing projects and frameworks. Day to day duties will include, although not limited to:
- Liaise and work closely with the Commercial Manager and Director and Site Managers on all aspects of the project
- To audit the contract documents and bring any discrepancies to the attention of the Commercial Director
- Produce an accurate cash flow forecast based on the project programme and update as work proceeds
- Produce a detailed cost plan for the project
To be considered you must be degree qualified in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent, be fully IT proficient and be familiar with cost management software and Excel. A strong commercial acumen coupled with excellent negotiation abilities is also essential. It is desirable although not essential to be a member of RICS and/or CIOB.
