Contract Scotland are a specialist recruiter for the Scottish Construction industry, having managed staffing requirements of employers across Scotland for nearly 29 years we pride ourselves in knowing our market.
We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a commercial team with a main contractor that we've worked with since they entered Scotland years ago. As a business, they specialise in fitout and refurbishment projects for retail clients and whilst their culture is one to be proud of, so is their recent success.
Working in a reliably busy sector, they face no shortage of work throughout the year and although challenging, the work is ultimately rewarding and built on long-term business relationships with like-minded construction professionals.
They largely engage with their key clients by way of frameworks, some experience on measured-term contracts and dealing with a schedule of rates would therefore be helpful to any applicant who might consider this position.
What will make you successful in this role?
- Experience of carrying out a commercial role on fitout projects and/or retail projects
- Experience of working on measured-term contracts (frameworks) or schedules of rates would be advantageous
- Communication skills will be key as this role is very much a part of a team requiring regular contact with site teams and sub-contractors
- Attitude is of the utmost importance!
The role will be largely office based with the requirement to visit future and ongoing sites.
A competitive salary package is on offer for the successful candidate and the opportunity for career progression within a growing business.
We would be happy to tell you more about this role or the many other opportunities we have at the moment for commercial staff! Submit your CV or get in contact for a confidential chat about your situation.
