Contract Scotland are currently working with a contractor whose reputation has flourished due to their attitude towards delivering projects to a high standard.
Naturally due to an increase in orders and a strong orderbook for the year, our client is now looking to add to their team. We are working with them to source a Quantity Surveyor
to join their business on a permanent basis, the salary for the right candidate will be set between £25, 000 - £38, 000 (DoE).
Working for this business you will be joining a positive teamwork environment who aim to self-deliver in order to maintain their reputation for delivering high quality contracts. With this role you will be primarily working in the central belt focusing on the commercial aspects of internal and external refurbishment projects. The usual working schedule is 8-5, Monday - Friday. (It is worth noting 20% of the QS's time will be spent out on site visits).

- Have experience with cost control
- Have an understanding of the control of additional works/ variations
- Be able to advise on procurement strategy
- Understand contract compliance
- Have experience with risk and opportunities
- Understand the importance of contract documentation
- Have experience of working within the sub-contractor and/or SME sectors
