As one of the more modern, dynamic and client focussed Building Services Contractors in Scotland, this mid-sized contracting business based in Glasgow has established a strong presence throughout the Central Belt completing Building Services projects ranging from £100k-£4mil in size from Glasgow through to Edinburgh. Joining an experienced and large operational team, you'll be responsible for the project management for M&E Building Services installation projects up to the value of £4mil across a variety of sectors and industries for a mix of main contracting and framework clients.
For this specific opportunity, the Senior PM will initially be responsible for a new build healthcare project in at a pre-existing hospital facility based in Glasgow. Within this role you'll be responsible for the full M&E installation across the project which includes managing various specialist sub-contractors and well as a team of site operatives on top of ensuring that the project runs on time and to budget. The project itself is with a new client to this organisation; therefore the importance of the project could be vital to the future growth and development of this business; so there's a high level of responsibility associated with this role.

This all sounds great right?! So what are we looking for from you?
The successful applicant will combine their technical expertise and commercial acumen to lead the M&E engineering function on major and key projects for the organisation. Finding cost effective solutions to any issues on projects and an ability to still not compromise on quality whilst fully managing a large labour force and specialist sub-contractors is a major facet of this role. On top of this, you will play a key part in the commercial reporting and commercial success of various projects with the support of an in-house quantity surveying team. This role is open to individuals from ideally and Electrical background but applications from those from a Mechanical bias shall also be considered.
Perhaps you're currently working for an M&E Building Services contractor in either an Project Engineering or Project Management capacity and you are looking for a new challenge by leading the project management function on various projects within a forward-thinking Building Services Contractor who can offer further scope for progression.
At this stage, you'll need to be able to demonstrate Project Engineering/Management experience in an M&E Building Services organisation. You should have a wide and well developed commercial awareness' as well as a track record on delivering on multiple projects.
