Contract Scotland are excited to have teamed up with one of the busiest and largest contractors in the Scottish construction market to find a Senior Site Manager ready to come onboard. If the new year is a new you, then a new role with our client may just be the ticket.

Our client has a reputation for building some of the most complex and modern construction projects in Scotland and have a long standing reputation for exceptional quality.

Your new employer is unrivalled in their ability to retain their staff through a proven succession planning process and therefore offer great career progression opportunities. The majority of their senior management team have worked their way up from grass roots' level.

With numerous high value and interesting building projects either underway or due to start in 2020 our client is looking for an established Senior Site Manager whom has the following (but not limited to) skills & experience:
  • A leader who can engage with and pull together different parts of the team as part of a one team ethos
  • Good communication skills to enable effective management of people and build strong working relationships with site teams/clients
  • Motivation and drive to keep a team moving in the right direction
  • A problem solver - our client wants solution driven people
  • Team player, work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in complex refurbishment projects
  • Ability to understand drawings and plan safe and effective works
  • Experience in managing temporary works
  • Confidence using IT packages and systems
  • A relevant Health & Safety qualification
  • HNC/Degree, MCIOB or equivalent or a trades background
  • Valid drivers license

Your day to day will consist of:
  • Enforcing and complying with health and safety plans and procedures
  • Implementing environmental procedures on site
  • Checking that appropriate quality records are being submitted
  • Management of site works and organisation of subcontractors
  • Maintaining strong communication between project, technical, engineering and construction groups
  • Keeping a site diary to include subcontractor attendance and progress
  • Interpreting drawings and advising on any construction issues as required
  • Understanding BIM and the use of BIM field 360
