Contract Scotland are delighted to be working in partnership with a multi-disciplined civil engineering contractor in their search to recruit a Senior Site Manager for work across Scotland.  Our client is renowned for their low staff turnover levels, continued investment and development of their staff whilst maintaining a strong leadership in the rail and civil engineering infrastructure sectors.  This is an excellent opportunity to join an established, dynamic and approachable team where you can further develop your career with a main player in their market.

The ideal candidate would have proven experience in civil engineering discipline with site management experience.

As a Senior Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and co-ordinating all labour on site.
  • Ensuring all resources are utilised on site.
  • Ensure contracts are delivered safely on time, within budget and to client’s specification.
  •  
  • Keeping site records and registers up to date.
  • Assure that all work is carried out to company safety procedures.
  • Maintaining good on/off site working relationships.

You should have a methodical approach, great interpersonal skill and have the following skills:

  • Minimum HNC level qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • Previous experience within a civil contracting environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the rail and infrastructure Civil Engineering sectors.
  • Rail experience is desirable.
  • High level of IT skills.
  • SMSTS.
