Our client, a highly reputable civil engineering contractor based in the East, are looking to expand their team by adding a Site Engineer with experience within the Civil Engineering sector particularly on groundwork for commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate should bring proven experience setting-out for groundworks packages across multiple sites. Work will include groundworks, ground beams, bolt boxes, reinforcements, drainage, roads, foundations and sub structures. This is a permanent role and work will be based throughout Fife and Edinburgh.

Renowned as a leading ground engineering contractor, they undertake diverse assignments, including residential developments, hospitals, commercial projects, as well as civil works for roads, railways, tunnels, walkways, and embankments.
About the Role:
As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in this regional civil engineering powerhouse, renowned for its expertise in infrastructure and groundworks projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting out and surveying the site.
- Implementing strategies in collaboration with management.
- Verifying plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy.
- Overseeing quality control and on-site health and safety.
- Ensuring adherence to company quality procedures.
- Striving to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Mentoring and supporting junior staff.
- Providing support to the team and undertaking additional site engineering duties as required.
Background/Experience Required:
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- An appropriate civil engineering qualification (HND/C or Degree).
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer with a focus on groundwork projects.
- Experience in setting out for groundworks projects.
- Proficiency in anchoring.
- Desirable but not essential: CAD or ground modelling knowledge.
- A valid CSCS card.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK for work.
- A full UK driving license.
