Our client, a highly reputable civil engineering contractor based in the East, are looking to expand their team by adding a Site Engineer with experience within the Civil Engineering sector particularly on groundwork for commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate should bring proven experience setting-out for groundworks packages across multiple sites. Work will include groundworks, ground beams, bolt boxes, reinforcements, drainage, roads, foundations and sub structures. This is a permanent role and work will be based throughout Fife and Edinburgh.

Join the team of our esteemed client, a well-established contractor based in Central Scotland specialising in geotechnical investigations, drilling, and blasting.  They are currently in search of a skilled Site Engineer to contribute to projects across the UK.  Renowned as a leading ground engineering contractor, they undertake diverse assignments, including residential developments, hospitals, commercial projects, as well as civil works for roads, railways, tunnels, walkways, and embankments.

 

About the Role:

 

As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in this regional civil engineering powerhouse, renowned for its expertise in infrastructure and groundworks projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting out and surveying the site.
  • Implementing strategies in collaboration with management.
  • Verifying plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy.
  • Overseeing quality control and on-site health and safety.
  • Ensuring adherence to company quality procedures.
  • Striving to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior staff.
  • Providing support to the team and undertaking additional site engineering duties as required.

Background/Experience Required:

 

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • An appropriate civil engineering qualification (HND/C or Degree).
  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer with a focus on groundwork projects.
  • Experience in setting out for groundworks projects.
  • Proficiency in anchoring.
  • Desirable but not essential: CAD or ground modelling knowledge.
  • A valid CSCS card.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK for work.
  • A full UK driving license.
