Site Manager

Contract Scotland is working on behalf of our client to find a Civil Site Manager for ongoing projects across their portfolio of work within the power sector. This role will involve providing supervision and technical support for the civil aspects of the construction stage for transmission and refurbishment projects.

What will you be doing?

• Managing onsite activities while reporting to the Construction Manager
• Offering technical advice in relation to the electrical aspects of construction
• Supervising the chosen contractor for relevant site

What will you need?

• ONC / HNC Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent (SVQ level 4 in Construction management is also acceptable)
• Experience in a similar role. Due to the complexity of the role the client would prefer at least 5 years of experience in roles like this but is willing
to consider others.
• Contract management experience inclusive of variation and claims.
• Experience in working with and understanding electrical design drawings, circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams (including all inspection and testing).
• Awareness of FIDIC and NEC conditions of contracts
• Experience in managing and delivering LV / HV cable civils installation
• Computer literacy, specifically in all Microsoft packages

Essential qualifications:

• SP Authorisations - WI-1/WI-2 preferably
• SMSTS
• First Aid
