Streetworks Manager

We are working with a Multi-utilities contractor as they look to recruit a Street Works Manager. Based out of the head office in Glasgow, our client reach an extensive network throughout the UK delivering gas, water and electricity connection across a range of new and existing developments

Working closely with the NRSW Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of street and roadworks legislation within the business. It will be your responsibility to continuously monitor this, minimising the risk resulting from non-compliance.

In addition, you will liaise regularly with staff members and sub-contractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities through the right systems and documentation throughout key delivery milestones to avoid liabilities and charges.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Liaising with Clients, Scottish Traffic Commissioner and Highway Authorities
  • Engaging regularly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage and maintain project management and performance reports
  • Ensuring the company is complaint within the Traffic Management Act

What is required?
  • Working knowledge of symology systems and processes
  • Prior experience within the roadworks and/or public utilities
  • Good IT skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively, in particular representing the business professionally and courteously when dealing with clients and 3rd party stakeholders.
