I had a fantastic time at the YPiC event in Glasgow on Wednesday night with Grant and Eilidh. The presentation from Aura Survey on how they have been using autonomous drones and point clouds to survey large areas of land was fascinating. Saving hundreds of hours of work and enabling continuous monitoring throughout the course of projects. We really are living in the future!
Since joining Contract Scotland seven months ago as a Resourcer, this was my first time attending an industry event. It was a really relaxed and open environment where everyone I spoke to was more than happy to explain the work that they do and what they are working on at the moment, which was really refreshing. It is so important, as consultants, that we take the time to stay connected to the people in our industry and to be aware of what is actually happening out there – ﾠand what better a place to do it?!
